Position Overview:

The primary role of the Senior Vice President of Member & Investor Relations is to direct, guide, execute, and oversee member and investor engagement, including related marketing strategy and events for the Greater Omaha Chamber.

The Senior Vice President of Member & Investor Relations will oversee and manage the Member & Investor Relations and Events teams. This leadership role is pivotal in driving member program development and engagement, overseeing membership sales and retention efforts, and crafting effective marketing strategies and messaging. Additional responsibilities include managing investor relations programs, ensuring timely accounts receivable and investor fulfillment, and maintaining accurate membership records using the Chamber’s customer relationship management (CRM) software.

This role oversees the activities necessary for members and investors to perceive and derive value for their investment and involvement with the Chamber in alignment with their stated business goals and objectives to positively impact the Chamber’s mission, vision, and multi-year strategic plan. The Senior Vice President of Member & Investor Relations also assures members and investors fulfill and renew their financial commitments, while working with the President in laying the groundwork for future asks through high satisfaction.

This role leads the Member & Investor Relations team in achieving year-end and long-term new member attainment and member retention goals to financially support the Chamber’s “Program of Work,” while obtaining annual member and investor satisfaction ratings in line with organizational goals to assure quality Chamber programming, services, and engagement opportunities.

The Senior Vice President of Member & Investor Relations will develop and implement a comprehensive plan for fundraising and grant writing to meet or exceed annual financial goals, as well as assess, recommend, and implement other non-dues revenue generating opportunities that provide value to the Greater Omaha community and Chamber members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet overall Chamber budgeted revenue targets for areas of responsibility including membership dues, economic development, sponsorships, grants, and Political Action Committee.
  • Prepare ongoing analysis of membership revenue and sponsorship performance and develop strategy and action plans to meet quarterly goals.
  • Provide support to President & CEO for all Board of Directors engagements and requests.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with tiered Chamber investors.
  • Perform staff liaison responsibilities with the Chamber’s Membership Council and President’s Club.
  • Oversee quarterly investor meeting engagements and facilitate senior leadership involvement in preparation for investor meeting.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and grant writing strategy aligned with the Chamber’s annual “Program of Work” and meets or exceeds annual financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Economic Development and Senior Vice President of Public Policy on streamlining engagement opportunities with Chamber members where multiple outcomes (i.e., membership, economic development, public policy, etc.) can be achieved.
  • Prepare an annual Membership marketing strategy in partnership with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications that is measured against annual membership revenue.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Political Science, English, or a related field.

  • Proven fundraising experience, with direct and indirect donor solicitations.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience with grant writing, sales, or marketing.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and Chamber members.
